We were heading to Capitol Hill. I didn’t really know what to wear. You know how it is, “I have NOTHING to wear” I said to the Mr. He just shook his head quietly.
What do they know?? Anyway, despite a few new items here and there everything is quite old and I’m constantly trying to come up with new combinations and looks. I settled on my usual jeans, flats and a long red cardi. But what I should have been paying attention to was the weather.
By the time we made it there it wasn’t just raining, it was POURING.
Anyway, we still made the most if it,. We hit Eastern Market which is DC’s oldest operating fresh food public market and then had a lovely lunch at Marvelous Market a bakery/cafe/deli. We wanted walk around but even after an hour the rain had not passed.
I wasn’t really dressed for heavy rain, especially my shoes! Oh well.
Capitol Hill as you guessed it is a DC neighborhood. It is a mix of politicos, young families, and lots of “young professionals” as my mother calls them.
