It’s only Wednesday and this week has been go go go! I had a mini melt down (just a small one) because of our living situation. Living as a family of three in a two and a half (that half helps!) bedroom apartment in the suburbs of DC with your mother and sister is not easy.
Nothing in particular happened, but having your mother ask you to pick up after you and your child, reminding you to do laundry and to clean the kitchen is just not easy to take. For ANYONE.
Remember what it was like coming home from college for a few weeks after being on your own? Total suckage right? Yeah, even worse with a kid and husband in tow. Anyway, it can’t be long before we are moving into our own place, away from the ‘burbs and closer to the city. At least, I hope so.
Being so busy I haven’t had time to really take any pictures of what I was wearing; with the exception of my favorite pair of flats from Clarks (yes, THAT store) that I absolutely adore. It’s been exceptionally warm so no socks needed!
They truly are Comfy Mamá Chic. I am not very big on wearing trainers (I do have two pair) and instead I prefer cute, comfy flats that I can dress up or down, wear to the playground or to a meeting.
I think every woman should have at least two pair and swap them for the running shoes/sneaker look. I have had them for a few months now and because the soles are sturdy, they can take a lot of wear and tear.
Clarks were (are?) known for comfy shoes, but not necessarily stylish shoes. However, as a customer for the past six years, I have to give credit where credit is due. They have really pulled it together and put out some very desirable footwear.
These lovelies have received lots of praise and people are surprised when I say where I got them. Once during a social media event in London, the speaker stopped in the middle of her presentation to say she loved my shoes!
Anyway, these are my go to shoes…they have added padding and cushioning on the inside so no blisters or cracked heels.
What about you? Do you have a pair of comfy and stylish shoes that have become a wardrobe essential?
