I love playing with makeup and creating new looks. When I was younger I would take my mamá’s lipsticks, face creams and go through her makeup bag and sit in front of the bathroom mirror and try everything out.
My mamá always looked bella with very little. She only ever bought makeup at drugstores or the local farmacia.
Now as a parent myself and budget conscious woman, I like having beauty options and good ones at that. This week I experienced the Walgreens beauty aisle for the very first time — really! As I walked in I came face to face with an endless wall of beauty products or productos de belleza which continued several aisles over with haircare, lotions, face cleansing and more.
It was instant love!
It was immaculately organized, well lit, extremely clean and it just made me want one of everything.
I was there to shop for a few essentials and to check out their selection. ¡Ay! This place is no joke, everything I had in mind was available there ¡y más!
First on the list was TRESemmé Dry Shampoo — it’s an absolute must have for me because NO, I don’t wash my hair everyday. I can’t. So this is ideal to freshen up the locks. ¡Me encanta!
Another favorite, and one that my Oma has used for years is Elnett Hairspray by L’Oreal. I didn’t realize it wasn’t in the US market until recently but I used it in Chile and in the UK and it’s not just any hairspray…this was created by the Beauty Gods. En serio.
Even though I don’t need another rouge rojo or red lipstick I still stopped to try a few shades of Rimmel London it is by far the best $4 lipstick I have ever experienced. A true beauty bargain!
I spent over an hour there with my daughter and my cousin — I personally like the long aisle of strictly beauty items instead of having to weave in and out of the aisles. I also picked up Simple Makeup Remover Wipes and Nivea Lip Balm.
Other favorites available at Walgreens

I didn’t have a Walgreens card so my prima used hers and our total went from $56 to$48 with all of the savings — I don’t normally believe in those cards, but after seeing that I got one for myself on the spot!
I noticed Walgreens has their own line of products called Nice! and Ology, an eco-friendly range — they are on my list to try next time.
Bella with Walgreens — now that’s something I didn’t think I’d ever say!
