What a weekend! My husband and I agreed we wouldn’t make any plans to go out or have anyone over. It would just be us, the kids and a relaxing two days.
Sunday we took a family trip to our local Old Navy because the Mr. needed jeans. OF COURSE I had a gander and well, what do you know…I found something.
Yep. You know I was all over the sale/clearance rack!
There is a massive sale going on now and these blue printed corduroy pants were only $8. How could I not bring them home?!
These printed corduroy pants are super soft, comfy and they have stretch. Oh yes!
The darker blue and yellow flowers are subtle and the slightly faded design softens up your look. It isn’t a loud print yet it discreetly commands attention.
Although, they do make me look wider at the thighs. However, it’s not a surprise, I’ve always been more gordita in that area and the reality is I still have weight to lose since having Little L last year. Right now I’m a size 12/14 and continuing to do T25 daily workout to get back to my size 8.
The weight hasn’t come off as fast as I had wanted, but I admit I could try harder.
Now back to the outfit! The nautical trend is back with full force this spring/summer so in honor of warmer days, I added this striped red and white top and blue blazer (which I’ve had since 2009 and shown on this blog hundreds of times) and a pair of tan/mushroom colored Superga sneakers.
My recommendation to you: Treat printed corduroy pants or any kind of printed bottoms like solids. Wear them with other prints, especially stripes. If you are not comfortable with that, go with a chambray or denim top.
