Superga Sneakers A Stylish Option for Moms

Superga Sneakers A Stylish Option

When my husband is back home after two weeks away on a business trip (which is usually on a Friday afternoon), the weekend tends to be full on papi time! I log off (almost) everything and even if we are not doing anything exciting we do it all together — especially family walks!

It was the perfect time to debut my new stylish red Superga sneakers. I’ve been waiting for The Shoe Hive to have them in stock and as soon as I saw they were in, I was over there in a flash.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: athletic/running shoes should NOT be worn for style. NO! They should be used for working out or running or whatever type of exercise you prefer to partake in.

If you want to rock the comfortable mama look, PLEASE go for the stylish sneakers option which will look great with shorts or jeans and even skirts!

In my opinion Superga sneakers are better than Chuck Taylors, much more classy (think of them as the European cousin of Converse), comfy and they come in a variety of colors. I have a pair in mushroom/tan which I’ve styled in a variety of ways and now these. Wearing shorts and striped shorts, these were certainly the WOW factor my outfit needed.

Remember: every outfit you wear should have one WOW piece. Shoes, bags, necklace, etc.

Red Superga Sneakers

Really, how can you go back to your frumpy shoes after wearing these stylish sneakers?

Talk about real mom style — these are perfect for the playground, around the house, a play-date, shopping and going for walks with the kids. Come on, you know I’m right!

Oh and in case you are wondering, my daughter is wearing Mini Melissa shoes which are basically the new version of jelly shoes without the stink and much, much more stylish.

This is a sponsored post in partnership with KnowYourOTCs. Cute kids with spring allergies and mocos are my own. News flash: the little people in our lives get spring allergies too. Who knew? However treating their symptoms and finding relief are different than for adult sufferers. I didn’t much on this and maybe some of you don’t either. As a serious allergy suffer — and I’m talking prescription medication taken with an over-the-counter one AND nasal spray (eeeeek!) on those extra pollen induced {Read More}

Wear Sunscreen NOT Sunburns #ChooseSkinHealth

This is sponsored post in collaboration with Neutrogena® and Latina Bloggers Connect. However, all opinions expressed are my own. It’s sunscreen season and time to think about your skin health more than ever. Memorial Day will mean spending time outdoors and the rest of the summer months should be about enjoying the beach, the kids doing cannon balls at the pool or playing with the hose in the backyard — NOT about painful sunburned skin. Scary to think but 1 in {Read More}

I received a hand crafted Soapstone Heart Box from Macy’s Heart of Haiti as a gift for Mother’s Day. No other compensation given. Roller skating kids and story are my own! How was your Mother’s Day?! I was surprised with a roller skating and jumping performance by my kids — seriously, so so cute and ridiculously funny. Mother’s Day naturally had me thinking of motherhood and how our job is to care for, provide for and love our families. But what {Read More}

This is a sponsored video post in collaboration with Target and MamásLatinas. All stories and untranslatable moments are my own. Around the time I was 15,  I realized that most (okay, ALL) of my friends didn’t quite celebrate their moms on Mother’s Day like we did in my home. Our way involved more familia — as in primos, tíos and friends of the family who were close enough to be family. In this video, see one way your favorite Chilean blogger (that {Read More}
