I am participating in a sponsored campaign hosted by fast acting Advil® Film-Coated and I received a free sample of Advil® Film-Coated. This is a sponsored post for SocialStars by Crowdtap. All opinions and sick children are my own. #FastAdvil
This week I had one of those epic mother moments — the kind which completely knocks the wind out of you and when you do make it to the end of your day ask yourself, “how the HELL am I still alive?”
It’s at that moment, when you are laying still, melting into the mattress or the sofa that you start to feel the repercussions of the day — leg cramps, sore back or shoulders from carrying your child and the dreaded head pounding. I felt all of these and an all over body ache that comes from extraneous physical and mental activity.
All I could think was CAN I GET SOME PAIN RELIEF POR FAVOR?!
I really don’t even need to tell you what happened — as a parent you know how difficult it is when you have one sick child, but two at the same time and you have meetings and work to do.
However the gist of it is, I had to get my son from school who had fainted and thrown up at school, we spent the day in the ER where he underwent several tests and blood work (where I had to pin him down) only to come home and find my toddler burning up, screaming her face off and finding out she had a temperature of 104!
So began round two of the madness.
The night was long and the next two days meant more doctor appointments and nursing a very needy and screaming 21 month old.
Those few days were some of the most crazy, tiring, trying, painful and just mentally and physically excruciatingly draining days of my parenting career.
I postponed several work commitments because I simply could not get them done and ironically one of them was a post for Fast Acting Advil Film Coated Tablets.
After it was all said and done, it was those dark red colored tablets that helped relieve my physical pain and pounding head ache after the long days and allowed me to get through them in one piece. No wonder they have been my go-to pain relief since I got my first period at the age of 12 — they get the job done and these new fast absorbing ones work even quicker than traditional Advil.
My son is better and my daughter is on the mend. Let’s hope this week goes smoother, much smoother!
