It’s sunscreen season and time to think about your skin health more than ever.
Memorial Day will mean spending time outdoors and the rest of the summer months should be about enjoying the beach, the kids doing cannon balls at the pool or playing with the hose in the backyard — NOT about painful sunburned skin. Scary to think but 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer…ONE in FIVE.
Having stopped putting my face full on in the sun, I keep it hidden under shades and a hat during the summer and use Neutrogena’s Ultra Sheer Mist. It’s light, can be worn under makeup and I carry it in my bag — just in case.
For my children, who are — in a word; transparent — I line them up and spray them down before heading out with Wet Skin Kids.
Thankfully the spays make it much, much easier to cover and it’s EVEN better because it can be applied on wet or dry skin! The husband applies his own CoolDry Sport sunscreen but I do have to watch over him. I don’t know what it is with men and not wanting to wear sunscreen ¡Ayyy!
So, no excuses because there is something for the entire family. Ok?!
Next week, on Tuesday, May 19th, join the #ChooseSkinHealth Neutrogena Twitter fiesta at 7pm (EST) 4PM PST) for extra facts, tips, skin health advice to keep yourself and your crew happy and sun safe this summer.
¡Que viva el verano!
