Shopping for baby girl clothes can be oh-so-dangerous!
I truly enjoyed buying cute baby clothes for my first daughter and more recently (she’s 3 1/2) seeing her choose her own pieces as she develops her own sense of style.
Now it’s Elisa’s turn to be styled by mami and Carter’s has everything we need from basics such as bibs, bodysuits and pjs to sweet and stylish pieces for everyday play and occasions. I love seeing my girls in dresses and the selection at Carter’s — the creators of the Original Bodysuit — is to die for!
Sponsored post in partnership with Carter’s. Cute baby and style ideas are my own.
Here we’ve put together a few different outfits mixing and matching pieces to make the most of your baby clothes. Bodysuits can be worn alone, under other clothing, with leggings or with a cute cardigan and socks — let’s have a look.
This denim dress with white printed flowers and matching bloomers is hands down a favorite. In fact, I’d like to have it in my size!
Even cuter is the braided belt (to accentuate the waist no less!) and it even has pockets. As a bonus, the white flowers also camouflage milk and spit up. Just sayin’.
The Original Bodysuit is a classic — a staple and having them in a soft cotton, with light lace, neutral colors and long sleeves adds a feminine touch to an otherwise pretty blah piece of clothing.
Add in a pair of knitted booties and a cardigan for added comfort and some serious baby style!
Moving into fall and winter a head turning jacket is essential — red is my favorite color and it’s ideal for the festive season. That, and you can spot your child anytime, anywhere!
Toggle coats a la Paddington Bear style have always been too sweet to pass up. All 3 of my babies have had one and this red one is the latest addition. The leggings are still a bit too big since she is a tiny baby — but when they eventually get a bit too short, I add leg warmers and wear them for a few more months.
Our first shopping trip to Carter’s for Elisa was not only fun (for me, she was asleep the entire time) but there were fantastic deals on sets AND an added 25% off with a coupon.
So mamas, make the most of your baby’s clothing and get creative starting with basics and adding other pieces.
